Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: West Des Moines, Iowa, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

GeoLearning, Inc. the leading provider of Managed Learning Services and hosted learning and performance platforms is looking for a Senior Security Analyst in our West Des Moines Corporate office.
* The analyst will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of an information security program to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of GeoLearning’s information and system infrastructure.
* Assists in the development, implementation, and administration of information security policies, standards, procedures, baselines, and guidelines.
* Provides assessment of computer systems, networks, and applications and recommends appropriate controls to mitigate risks.
* Conducts selected tests of information security controls.
* Assists in the development and execution of effective security awareness programs.
* Participates as a member of incident response team, providing pertinent security information and input to strategic and tactical planning to translate security and business requirements into technical designs.

* Evaluates information system bug reports, security exploit reports, and other information security notices issued by information system vendors, government agencies, universities, professional associations, and other organizations, and as needed makes recommendations to internal management to take precautionary steps.
* Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Assurance.
* 3-5 years experience with information security technologies, networking equipment, TCP/IP protocols, and MS Windows operating systems, IDS implementation and maintenance, and A/V implementation and maintenance.
*3-5 years experience implementing ISO 17799 and NIST 800-53 control objectives. Experience implementing and maintaining an organizational security training and awareness program.
* Prefer 3 years experience with Windows 2003 active directory, Unix, security/hacking tools, antivirus software administration, risk assessment software, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, Cisco IOS, ASP.NET, Java, MySQL.
*Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is a plus.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills are needed. This position will be expected to obtain and clear OPM BI Medium Level clearance. Per Government regulations, US Citizenship is required.
