Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: Chantilly, Virginia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Position:
SOC Analyst
1st shift available
Job Description:
Duties include incident handling, incident response and escalation management in a 24x7 environment. The SOC Analyst will also perform routine actions in order to help manage customer security devices. Further, the Security Analyst will be placed on-call in order for the SOC to surge to handle emergencies. Finally, the SOC Analyst will be responsible for other duties as assigned.
o Experience as a Unix or Windows or Network System Administrator
o Experience with one or more of the following:
o TCP/IP networking
o Various Intrusion Detection Systems
o Various firewall systems
o Various scanning systems
o General Working knowledge of Information Security concepts
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills
o Strong customer service skills
o Experience as a member in a team environment
o Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple deadlines
o Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
o Ability to communicate clearly with technical staff as well as less technical colleagues
o Ability and willingness to take on additional tasks as assigned
o Experience as a Network Administrator
o Expert Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
o Expert knowledge of various Intrusion Detection Systems
o Expert knowledge of various firewall systems
o Expert knowledge of various scanning systems
Education and Certifications a plus:
• CISSP Certified
• GIAC Certified
• MCP Certified
• MCSE Certified
• MS/BS/PHD in Computer Science / Information Systems / Electrical Engineering / Math

• Triage inbound security events
• Act as the Engineer on Duty
• Manage Change Requests from Customer Issues
• Monitor Correlation Metrics
• Update Signatures on Customer IDS devices
• Update Policies on Customer Firewalls
• Update Policies on Customer Scanners
• Review Security Updates
• Assist with Integration Engineer Duties
• Assist with Managed Device Engineer Duties
• Assist with SOC Engineer Duties
JOB REQUIREMENTS
