Position: Technical Support Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2008-09-22
McAfee creates best-of-breed computer security solutions that span large enterprises, governments, small- and medium-sized businesses, and consumers, helping prevent intrusion on networks and protecting computer systems from the next generation of blended attacks and threats. These next-generation threats attack on multiple levels of the network infrastructure.
McAfee offers in-depth protection-from the network core, to perimeter defense to complete desktop security.

Technical Support Specialist
Qualifications:
Experience in network and systems administration.
Experience in website administration.
Experience with wide variety of hardware, operating systems, and network architectures.
Strong network troubleshooting skills with basic IP protocols. Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, server/client configuration, TCP/IP networking hardware, protocols, LAN and WAN technologies, and web security architectures.
Must be a critical thinker with excellent verbal and written skills.
Additional Pluses:
Experience with network security tools.
Experience with database applications and administration.
Network or security related certifications.
