Information Security Specialist Reference No. SF-314 Company Global Financial Group Location Edinburgh Salary £35,000 to £45,000 Package value from @ £43,750 to £56,250 + profit share and bonus Start Date ASAP No. Required up to 7 The Role We are looking to recruit information security specialists to complement the UK information security function. You will be part of a dynamic organisation that is changing to meet the demands of a newly expanded global presence. The Information Security function provides leadership and supports business, technology areas and local Information Security teams in managing information risk, whilst enabling business opportunities. The team offers a number of core information security services to the Group. These services include risk assessment, security reviews of internal and external partners and subject matter advice and guidance. The UK region works closely with the global and other regional security functions to drive the information security agenda across the organisation. Requirements • Specialist knowledge in information security and risk assessment & controls management. • Ability to identify & drive forward strategic security initiatives. • Ability to influence at senior levels within the Group Customer Service organisation. • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks to demanding timescales with minimal supervision. • Experience of completing IS audits or reviews of internal/external parties. Responsibilities • Responsible for input to policy & guidelines documentation. • Promotion of consistent, high quality Information Security across the Group. • Provide a balanced and business focused consultancy advice. • Provide expert, pragmatic advice & guidance on a range of IS issues, technical, procedural or legal / regulatory in nature. • Advise on evaluation of residual risk needs to be documented and accepted. • Delivery of reports for risk assessments, business proposals for security investments and system/process review reports. • Complete reviews of existing information systems & business processes against policy & best practice. |
