Technical Security Specialist Reference No. SF-312 Company Global Financial Organisation Location Edinburgh Salary £35,000 to £45,000 Package 15% top up for pension/cash, 10% group profit sharing, Potential 10% performance bonus Start Date ASAP No. Required 2 The Role Role Purpose: The role is for a technical security specialist to take part and support computer investigations and digital forensic services that includes, but is not limited to, the provision/performing of : Forensic capture and analysis of digital data using appropriate techniques and tools; data may be obtained from a range of devices/systems, including stand alone computers, servers and mobile devices Preparation of digital evidence packs to required legal and regulatory standard Working with Group Investigations and/or HRAC as part of larger investigations Participate in the, 24x7 rota based, CERT, dealing with fraudulent and hostile third-party web-sites, intrusion attempts, malicious code and other incidents Delivery of above investigation services to agreed service levels Key Role Deliverables Acquisition of forensically sound digital evidence Statement writing and investigative briefing updates. Production of evidence packs for law enforcement, HR, Investigations or other bodies Undertake research into new tools, techniques and technologies Monitor and maintain I&TM mailboxes as required Support the definition, generation and update of any required processes and procedures Experience Ideally 5 years experience of information security. Experience of computer forensic. Experience of computer incident response. Preferable Financial industry experience. Experience in the legal aspects of investigations Ability to travel within the UK, Continent and internationally Customer service orientation able to handle conflicting demands and trade-offs Self motivation and confidence Scope of Role: Services are provided to all parts of the Bank, both geographically and organisationally. Technical Knowledge: Specialist expert knowledge of some of the technologies listed below Working knowledge of Internet/Web Security technologies, in particular: IP Networks, Java, Web application security, email, middleware (e.g. Websphere), authentication, encryption. Other desirable Encase/Vogon Messaging systems (Lotus Notes/Exchange) Cryptography (Symmetric, Asymmetric, Message Digests). Virus management and other malicious software. |
